About the Brand

My name is Ashlean Butt, and I am the founder of Farnham Flats Beauty + Bath Company. I was born and raised in Puslinch, Ontario, in an area historically known as the Farnham Flats. I am proud to be the fourth generation of my family to have lived on Farnham Road, a lineage that began with my great-grandfather, Stewart “Stu” Houlding, and continues through my parents and sister.

The log home where I grew up holds nearly 200 years of history. Built in 1831 by pioneers Rachel and John Oulton. This home once belonged to a skilled midwife and healer who inspired the spirit of care and intention that guides my work today. Making bath and beauty products by hand feels like a meaningful continuation of that legacy.

My passion for natural skincare grew from personal experience. After being diagnosed with psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis and atopic skin, I struggled to find products that I was able to use. Discovering natural soaps and shampoo bars transformed my skin and sparked a love for creating my own. Farnham Flats Beauty + Bath was born from this journey, with the mission to provide handmade, high-quality beauty and bath products crafted with intention and care.

All of our products are handmade, handcrafted, and hand-poured using ingredients sourced exclusively from Canadian suppliers. Every batch is made with care, combining luxury, functionality, and sustainability with beauty.
